The NFL offseason is a long and grueling wait, and in mid-May, the hype following the NFL Draft has died down, so the only thing to cling onto is the NFL schedule release. This year, the Detroit Lions are making a case to be “America’s Team” with nine total nationally televised games, and five of those being primetime games.
It’s not all love from the NFL, however, as the Lions once again have an early bye in Week 5 and have the earliest average bye week since 2015.
