The Philadelphia Eagles will not be losing director of scouting Brandon Hunt to the New England Patriots.
As was widely expected to happen, the Pats promoted their own director of scouting — Eliot Wolf — to their primary football executive position (officially under the “executive vice president of player personnel” title).
We previously noted that multiple minority candidates turned down interviews for the Pats’ de facto GM opening since the search seemed farcical with Wolf inevitably set to be promoted.
For Hunt, the interview doesn’t hurt his resume moving forward.
