SAN MARCOS, TX — When Zenarae Antoine needed her All-Sun Belt First Team standout Da'Nasia Hood in the Bobcats' 74-62 win over Loyola Marymount (Ca.) Saturday afternoon, the San Antonio native came through.
In the game's opening quarter, Hood scored 11 of her team's 22 points, before passing the scoring torch to Kennedy Taylor, who sank all five of her field goal attempts, during the second quarter as the forward went to work on the defensive end. Hood and her teammates carried that defensive lockdown mentality into the game's third stanza as the Bobcats limited the Lion offensive to only seven points on 25 percent shooting.
